Wellbeing Stall at East End Medical Centre 23/10/24

On 23rd October 2024, East End Medical Centre proudly hosted its Wellbeing Stall, and we are thrilled to report that the event was a resounding success! Between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM, our practice welcomed numerous patients and members of the local community who were eager to explore the wide range of health and wellbeing services we offer.

A Day of Engagement and Support

The event served as a valuable platform to connect with our community and provide information tailored to individual needs. Here are some highlights of the day:

  • Social Prescribing Team Engagement
Our Social Prescribing Team was at the heart of the event, offering personalised advice and discussing how patients could benefit from community-based activities and services. From fitness classes and mental health support groups to creative workshops and volunteering opportunities, our team showcased how social prescribing can holistically improve physical and mental health. Many attendees expressed interest in joining these programmes, with several signing up for follow-ups and workshops on the day.
  • Sexual Health Awareness
Representatives from our Sexual Health Clinic were also present, providing crucial information about the services available, such as STI testing, contraceptive advice, and support for sexual wellbeing. This was an excellent opportunity for attendees to ask questions in a confidential and welcoming setting. Feedback from visitors indicated that this aspect of the stall was particularly appreciated for its open and non-judgemental approach.
  • Community Involvement
Local support organisations partnered with us to ensure attendees had access to broader resources. Visitors learned about local mental health charities, diet and nutrition workshops, and exercise initiatives in the area.

Continuing the Momentum

We are committed to building on the success of this event by hosting similar initiatives in the future. If you missed out, don’t worry—our Social Prescribing and Sexual Health teams are always available at the practice to answer your questions and provide ongoing support.

We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and made the event so successful. Together, we’re building a healthier, more connected community.

If you have any further questions about the services highlighted at the Wellbeing Stall, please don’t hesitate to contact us at the practice. We’re here to help!
