The following services are available to parents and young people to support mental health:

Young Minds Logo

Young Minds provide young people with tools to look after their mental health. Their website is full of advice and information on what to do if you’re struggling with how you feel. They empower parents and adults who work with young people, to be the best support they can be to the young people in their lives. And they give young people the space and confidence to get their voices heard and change the world we live in. No young person should feel alone with their mental health. Stem 4 Logo

stem4 is a charity that promotes positive mental health in teenagers and those who support them including their families and carers, education professionals, as well as school nurses and GPs through the provision of mental health education, resilience strategies and early intervention.

This is primarily provided digitally through their innovative education programme, pioneering mental health apps, clinically-informed website and mental health conferences that contribute to helping young people and those around them flourish.

Their mission is to foster the development of good mental health in teenagers through enhancing early understanding and awareness in individuals, their families, schools and the community, promoting shared early detection and signposting towards prompt action and intervention.

Kooth logo

Kooth – 1 in 5 children and young people suffer from mental health illness in any given year. At Kooth, they believe every young person has the right to thrive and to access high quality mental health care.

Kooth is commissioned by the NHS, Local Authorities, charities and businesses to provide anonymous and personalised mental health support for Children and Young People. With over 4000 logins per day, they provide end to end support whatever the need.

Kooth offers emotional and mental health support for children and young people aged between 11 and 24. On Kooth, qualified counsellors are online seven days a week to provide young people using the service with online counselling, through chat-based messaging via drop-in or booked sessions.

Parent Talk – They offer free advice for parents and carers of children aged 0-19 in the UK. They can support up to age 25 where a child has special educational needs. Whatever your background or experiences, they’re here for you. They know that everyone’s challenges are unique, and provide a welcoming space for all.
