Newham Talking Therapies offers a range of free and confidential talking therapies and specialist support to help you feel better within the borough of Newham.
Newham Talking Therapies offers a range of online therapy options including SilverCloud (guided self-help), one-to-one webcam therapy, groups and community workshops. SilverCloud is a guided self-help approach using CBT-based techniques that is available 24/7 and is undertaken independently and at your convenience.

The Enhanced Newham Mental Health Crisis Line is open 24 hours a day to support people living in Newham who experience a mental health crisis. The Helpline (calls are charged at local rates), is available 24 hours a day including weekends and Bank Holidays.
Callers will be given support and advice from mental health professionals.
The service aims to provide the right care at the right time and prevent people spending unnecessary time at the Emergency Department.
The Crisis Helpline can:
- support and help you if you have mental health problems
- provide accurate information and advice about local mental health services
- communicate with other services or teams on your behalf if you wish
- support you in a non-directive way, to empower and encourage you to take control of your own life and come to your own decisions.
The service provides an emergency assessment service for those calling who are in crisis – they will see people on the same day and either treat or refer to a team where their needs can be met.

Good Thinking is here to help you with their extensive range of free NHS-approved wellbeing tools and resources.
Good Thinking is an online service that supports Londoners to look after their mental health and wellbeing in a way that works for them. Since its launch in 2017, over 700,000 people have used their digital service to tackle anxiety, stress, low mood, sleep problems and other concerns.
Available 24/7 on any device and completely anonymous, Good Thinking provides a range of resources to help Londoners improve their mental wellbeing.

Cruse Bereavement Support – is the leading grief charity in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Their volunteers provide expert support for people who are grieving. They offer a range of online services including self-help resources and online chat with expert grief counsellors – CruseChat.
How they can help – Grief is personal and so is grief support. You can speak to them on the phone, online or get in touch with them about ongoing grief support sessions.

MIND phone support service – for people who have suicidal ideation but aren’t at crisis point. The helpline service of up to six one-hour sessions is offered across North East London. The Connectors in the team will give the person space to vent and talk, explore what makes them feel safe/comfortable and what triggers them, what their coping mechanisms/what will help them and signpost to services, as well as co-creating a wellbeing plan to turn to when they feel themselves moving into crisis.
